What oil does my small engine need?
Find the engine model as well as the equipment model. Confirm whether it is a two-stroke or four-stroke application, then check the specified lubricant and service instructions. The engine identification plate is a useful starting point when the equipment name alone is not enough.
Build a list for the machines you actually own
Give each mower, generator or other machine a line in your record. Include the engine model, required oil, quantity, filter if applicable, and service schedule. Keep the information where the person doing the work can find it.
What if I use equipment commercially?
Start with your working equipment list and your current purchasing needs. A commercial account may fit a business buying for its own machines. If you service customer equipment or sell products, the retail/installer path is the better starting point.
